Masterpiece Alliance (MA) is a 501c3 non-profit located in the Roanoke Valley focused on building community for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities, ensuring no one has to live life feeling isolated in the margins of society. MA has created a vibrant and inclusive community. In fact, this community has become one of my main places of belonging.

In 2024, I felt the Lord calling me away from sitting behind a desk all day and into relational work. As I was about to complete my Master’s Degree at Liberty University in 2025, I learned about the open position with Masterpiece Alliance, and I knew it was my calling. The work aligns with my heart for individuals with disabilities and my desire to be relational. Since joining the team, I have been able to witness the power of community, friendship, and the belief that each person, no matter ability, has innate purpose and worth.

As an area director, I have multiple responsibilities. First and foremost, I work to help create spaces of belonging for adults with disabilities. One of the ways I do this is I work with local churches and their leadership to help establish connections to inclusive communities for Masterpiece Alliance friends to get plugged into close to their homes. On top of this, I help plan and coordinate weekly large/small group events for our community. The best part of our job, though, is that we get to share the good news that regardless of our abilities, we are ALL God’s masterpieces and created by Him for a purpose!

MA pays a portion of our salary, but we also need to raise up a team of partners who will faithfully give every month to support my work with Masterpiece Alliance. Perhaps you could give $100 a month, $200 a month or some other amount. Would you join us by pledging monthly financial support?

Not only is your support tax deductible, it is essential. With people like you coming alongside us, lives will be changed. More friends with disabilities will be drawn out of isolation and into meaningful community, and more of God’s Masterpieces will build relationships with their Creator!
