To make a donation to Masterpiece Alliance is to give my son and others like him, a place to call "community." Everyone is accepted for who they are as created by God and loved for his/her own uniqueness in this world. Masterpiece Alliance has a vision that is sincere, compassionate, and thoughtful. As soon as I heard of their plans, I wanted to be involved. Masterpiece Alliance means family and friendship for life. I’ve made some amazing friends that have become more than friends; we have become a family. This group has given me what I needed: self-acceptance from a group of friends who love and accept themselves. In turn, they accept me for who I am.  Also [this community] helps change us. I’m not exactly someone who lets go of things. I can hold a grudge for over 20 years, or so my brother says. This group of amazing friends have helped me become a better person. They have helped me achieve a big milestone with my own brother.  After 20 years, I have finally said, “I love you” to him. Without this group I would continue to be an angry person.
