Having a disability or having a child with a disability often leads to living life in society’s margins, being isolated, and feeling lonely.

Our Vision:

“Our Preferred Reality”

No person with a disability or family of a person with a disability lives life in the margins or in isolation.

We envision a day when individuals with disabilities are drawn out of isolation and into meaningful community where they are known, accepted, loved and celebrated just as they are.  We want to provide a sense of belonging to foster friendships among people of all abilities and help everyone discover their purpose for which they were created.

Our Mission:

“Our Plan to turn Our Vision into Reality”

 1. Create an inclusive community for people of all abilities.

To create an inclusive community we will:

  • Organize and encourage regularly-occurring large group events and social activities.

  • Foster Life Pals relationships and friendships between people of all ability levels so that everybody has a friend.

  • Create a home-away-from-home “clubhouse” where people of all abilities can gather daily for social events, large group activities, and community building.

  • Identify and pursue specific ways for people with disabilities to play important roles within the community.

  • Partner with and support the mission of Young Life Capernaum, including training Capernaum graduates to be Capernaum leaders and buddies.

  • Build meaningful relationships with other organizations and individuals who support the physical, emotional, and social needs of people with disabilities and their families.

2. Support and equip the local church to proactively create spaces of belonging and meaningful kingdom roles for people with disabilities and their families.

To support and equip the local church we will:

  • Create a Masterpiece Alliance Church Network

  • Create special events for churches to learn more about the world of disabilities
